Legendary DJ Peter Rauhofer Dies

After a battle with brain cancer earlier this year, DJ Peter Rauhofer has passed away at age 48.
The Austrian mixmaster, a staple at gay clubs and circuit parties for decades, collaborated with numerous music superstars, including Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Pink and Madonna, and earned a Grammy in 2000 for his remix of  Cher’s “Believe.”
Manager Angelo Russo revealed in April that Rauhofer was diagnosed a brain tumor and had been admitted to the emergency room after suffering a seizure. The tumor had gone undiagnosed “for some time,” said Russo.
Rauhofer - who also went by the stage names Club 69 and Size Queen - was born in Vienna, Austria but made his name in his adopted home of New York, remixing tracks by artists like Madonna, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

RIP.
