Simian Mobile Disco and Bicep have collaborated to create a track named Sacrifice, A 4amtechno work out with 2 beatless versions to boot. Built around a deceptively simple, repetitive melody and laid down onto analogue tape. Beatless version 1 keeps the original speed, just smearing out the melodies slightly to make an effective DJ tool. Version 2 takes things to their logical conclusion, setting the tape machine to 7.5 inches per second, and drawing the chords out into a blissed-out piece of ambient wobble.
